The authorities upset the meetings of ANSDP “AZAT” with the people
On May, 20 at 12 p.m. chairman of the All-National Social-Democratic Party “AZAT” Bulat Abilov, members of the party's political council, first Kazakh cosmonaut, holder of the National Hero title Tokhtar Aubakirov and Hero of the Soviet Union, Afghan war veteran Nikolai Kremenysh were set to have a meeting with the residents of Temirtau.
The event must was to be held in a local cafe, as it had been agreed 2 weeks ago. However, just before the meeting more than 250 Temirtau citizens were not let in. The cafe owner refused to host the meeting, stating that the agreement was annulled because of the phone call “from above”. In addition, during the conversation it became known that the cafe was visited by various inspection bodies in order to force the owner to disrupt a public event.
The most interesting thing was the fact that it was the only place to give consent for the meeting. According to unofficial sources, the order not to allow the conduct of the meeting was sent from Ak-Orda [the President’s Administration].
At 6 p.m. another meeting must have taken place in Karkaralinsk town. However, the venue owner was also pressured, and the event was derailed. This fact denies again the false and cynical statements n of the “Nur Otan” party that all political parties in the country work under equal conditions and have equal rights.
Actions of the authorities, motivated by fear, alienate the president and his entourage from the Kazakhstani citizens further and further.
