On behalf of the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party, I would like to invite you to attend the Labour Party Annual Conference as an observer. International visitors are an important part of our Conference and I am always pleased to welcome the large number of international guests who join us each year from around the world. Please read the information below carefully as it contains important information about how to apply, our events for international visitors, and accommodation.

Essential information for international visitors
Programme
The timing of the final programme will be confirmed at the start of the Conference. Tuesday 28 September will be the main day for our international visitors and is also likely to be the day of the Leader's speech. Other precise times and locations will be given to you with your Conference accreditation. As ever, we are happy to try and organise meetings with Ministers and others. See below for provisional timings of our events for international visitors.
Monday 27 September
• 10.30 - 11.30am Welcome briefing
• 12.30 - 2.30pm Sister party lunch
• 6pm Topical briefing for Sister parties
Tuesday 28 September
• 8.30 - 9.30am International breakfast meeting
• 5 - 6pm Ministerial Q&A
• 6.30 - 8.30pm International Reception

Accommodation
Hotels quickly book up for Conference week. We have a limited number of rooms reserved for sister parties at the Premier Inn, Portland Street, Manchester, M1 4WB. The rooms cost £135 per person per night and must be booked for a minimum stay of four nights.

Please return the accommodation form as soon as possible to Labour Party Conference Services if you wish to apply for accommodation.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide financial assistance for travel or accommodation or airport transfers.
Applications
Security procedures at Conference are very tight. In order to attend party Conference it is very important that you complete the online form accurately and in full, even if you have attended in the past. We do not hold information from previous years on the system. The online application form is accessible through the following link: www.labour.org.uk/ac2010international
Please note that this link can only be accessed by typing it into the address bar at the top of your screen and not by typing the address in a search engine e.g. Google or Yahoo.
Only those who have received this official invitation directly can apply to attend Labour Party Conference. All international applications will be carefully checked by the International Manager.
Please note that your application cannot be processed without the following information:
• home address
• the name you used before you were married (if there has been any change)
• telephone number and fax number at work
• car registration number, even if you are not bringing your car to Brighton (this is a specific request from the Police to assist with security checks)
• a countersignature from someone in your organisation who knows you well. They should state the position they hold
• digital colour photograph (jpeg)
• passport number
• supporting evidence - something that proves you are from your organisation e.g. a scan of your business card or link to your name on the website
The online form must be completed before the closing date of 31 July 2010.
